Glass Half Full - Nola - Cobalt Blue Diffuser Bracelet
These bracelets have GLASS HALF FULL NOLA to be thankful for.
They are super special.
NOLA stands for New Orleans, Louisiana.
Glass Half Full was created by three amazing College Seniors at Tulane University in New Orleans after a night of drinking wine (I suspect many nights) π
They were frustrated knowing where their bottles would most likely end up.
In New Orleans, a single glass bottle placed into a city bin means the entire load will get diverted to landfill.
They decided to do something about it, and launched Glass Half Full in their backyard in 2020.
With the incredible backing of the NOLA community, it has now grown to divert tens of thousands of pounds of glass from Louisiana landfills per week and focuses of supplying crushed glass sand and gravel to organisations and people to create new beautiful and functional products from what is often considered to be waste.
This not only includes crushed sand to create these incredible beads, but it is also being used to combat the global sand shortage and Louisianans coastal erosion crisis!
It is used to fill sandbags to help protect vulnerable areas, and is also used in Construction, Flooring, Irrigation, Landscaping, Planters, Sandblasting and of course Art.
I think Glass Half Full is the perfect name!
They are minimalist and ooze positive vibes.
I love the feel and sound of them.
They are striking on their own, and come in four gorgeous colourways:
Colbolt Blue / Sea Glass Green / Frost / Powder Pink
