Wish For Fish
This one’s for my Poppa.
For any of you that know me in person or online, you will know I love fishing.
Seriously LOVE fishing!!
I often talk in my posts how my Grandma has influenced the designs I make, but this one today is super special and has literally been months in the making and is all about my Poppa.
My poppa taught me about Bananas on boats but also about Pineapples because his Poppa taught him about them and was super Old School.
Poppa taught me about how important it was to have a fishing bead every time you drop down and how it protects the knot and line, but also how it attracts fish and keeps your terminal tackle in place.
I’ve never forgotten that advice.
And it works. 100%.
I wanted to make sure I had made these up and they were in stock by Father’s Day – and I’m so happy I have achieved that goal.
So here it is...The Story about the Pineapple, The Sea Captain & Green Aventurine as told by my Poppa.....
History tells us Merchant trading ships bringing cargo back from the Caribbean to New England included in their bounty the exotic PINEAPPLE.
So unusual in it’s beauty and sweetness in it’s taste, it soon became extraordinarily valuable.
The ships Captain would spare a Pineapple on his front gate to signify his crew had returned safely & did indeed have Pineapples on board.
THE PINEAPPLE SOON BECAME AS GOOD LUCK AS A BANAANA IS BAD ON THE WATER.
Green Aventurine is known as the stone of opportunity’. It is thought to be the luckiest of all gemstones, especially for increasing favour in competitions & games of luck.
So there you have it – the story of the pineapple, The Sea Captain and Green Aventurine!!
